With Googles new penguin and panda changes to it's SEO, ranking algorithm, keyword stuffing etc, they are now looking for sites that have good quality content.

Some people still don't understand SEO properly and get confused when they hear the words search engine optimization.

The following 7 tips however are a great start...and basically, it's what Google is looking for when they crawl your websites and blogs. They are looking for quality content and links that link to quality content.

1. Create High Quality Content That People Want To Share:

To help get the best results - always ask yourself, what kind of content could I create that will offer high value where my reader would want to share. You can achieve this in the form of a well thought out blog post, a free eBook, or an audio series. You could even go one step further and create a few helpful videos, but always keep your reader in mind when doing so.

2. Connect And Engage With Other Related Websites And Blogs In Your Niche:

Google loves to see people interacting with others...and that means commenting on other peoples blogs and linking out to other peoples content from your own blog post so as it offers added value to your reader.

Also, try and answer any comments people leave on your own blog. This can work in your favour and go a long way at building relationships online.

3. Ask Your Followers To Share Your Content:

Lot's of people never take the opportunity to ask their followers to share their content...I'm sure you know the saying (if you don't ask - you don't receive). So simply ask your followers to share and link to your content. If you have a mailing list, be sure and ask your email followers if they could kindly share your content.

4. Blog Commenting:

Get involved in the conversation. Commenting on blogs related to your niche market that have a good page rank can begin to get you noticed. Other people that are also commenting on such blogs will notice you and a majority of them will click through on your profile picture to find out more about you.

If you also have good content, then a majority of them will share and link back to your content too.

5. Viral Sharing:

If you haven't already...then adding some viral share buttons to your blog can really help get your content spread throughout the Internet. You can also add these viral sharing buttons to your squeeze page and free download pages to help spread the word about...(that you have some valuable content that others have found helpful).

Not everyone will share your content, but there will be a few that found your content worthy of a share and every little helps.

6. Get Involved On Forums:

Forums are a great place to get a link back to your websites or blogs...and Google do rank you for this. Take the time to answer peoples questions (daily if you can) and add a link to your signature and posts.

7. Good Site Architecture:

Make sure Google can crawl your site properly, can your site url's be easily bookmarked, can Google get to all of the webpages on your site. Lots of people overlook this when starting out with a blog, if you're using wordpress for instants to build your blog, then you can do a simple search for some free plugins that can be installed that leaves it easy for Google to index your site.

Some good plugins to consider that can help your websites SEO and allow Google to properly index your sites are...

Yoast

All In One SEO Pack

Google XML Sitemap

I hope the tips above help you in some way. If you have any of your own tips you'd like to share, go ahead and let us know in the comments below.

All the best,

Eamon :)

Here are 11 little - Known Tips, that when implemented correctly will increase your sales!

You should know that it's all about your visitor and how your product is going to benefit them!

1. Main Headline:

Your "Main Headline" should be the first thing that gets noticed more than anything else on your sales page, it serves one goal (and one goal only), to grab the attention of your visitor where it compels them to read on.

2. Sub-Headline:

Your sub-headline has also one goal...to entice your visitor to read your first piece of content that follows in the opening of your sales page. To achieve this, make a promise to your readers by placing a benefit in your sub-headline.

3. The Content:

Your first opening paragraph should always follow with the aim of triggering an emotion in your reader. If you can convince your reader to think by emotion, they'll pay closer attention to what you have to say...and be more likely to take action and purchase from you.

4. It's All About Them:

So you've triggered their emotions and they've read through the first few paragraphs it took to achieve that. Now what? Well it's now time to involve 'THEM' even more. So many people make the mistake of taking the opportunity to talk about themselves next...[WRONG MOVE] - It's way to early for that.

After you persuade your reader to read on, you should involve them even more by using the words YOU or YOURS and not I. If you don't keep it all about them at this point, you could still loose them. So with the next few paragraphs, make sure you always use the words YOU and YOURS.

Example: have 'you' every wondered how to, or 'you' could be getting these same results too.

5. Tell Them You Have The Solution:

At this point in your sales page you can introduce a solution for them. You can begin to talk a little bit here about how you achieved success with the formula you are about to give them. Keep this section based on results you achieved by following a certain system...(this still isn't a place to start telling your reader about your life story). Your reader's are not there for that, they are there for a solution to a specific problem your product can resolve, it's never about YOU!!

6. Tell Them What They're Getting:

Tell your reader what your package consists of. Is it a PDF report, eBook, Audio, Videos and so on. Make sure you list all the different formats that will be offered to them if they purchase.

7. Testimonials:

Have you heard of the "herd mentality?" People never buy on impulse, but they will buy because other people have bought the product and put their recommendation on it. Put your best testimonials on your sales page. If you want people to purchase your offer, you should show them that other people are satisfied with your product.

8. Point Out The Benefits:

You've already pointed out the benefits, but it's also good practice to have some clearly laid out bullet points again at this point. This can heighten the sale even more when you take the time to lay out the benefits for your reader in the form of a box type layout.

9. The Price:

Just before you introduce the price you intend to sell your product for, tell your reader you know you could easily sell your product for [xxx] amount of dollars. This puts a higher perceived value on your product.

10. Guarantee:

Tell your reader they're covered, offer a 30, 60, 90 day guarantee with there purchase. If for any reason they're not satisfied with your product, they can ask for full refund within the time given. Guarantees have been proven to strengthen sales a lot!

11. PS.

Your PS is one of the most read areas on your sales page. Lot's of new visitors will hit you sales page and scroll right down to see the price and be captured by a PS. There are people that don't know the value it adds...and some don't include it at the bottom of their sales page, (this is a waste of valuable space).

In the PS section, most people will use a few PS's to include there main benefits again. So always take advantage of a PS at the end of your sales page to encourage your reader to click on your buy button!

I hope you can get some use out of these 11 tips - they have certainly worked well for me.

As always your comments are welcome.

To your success,

1. If you're still running about the Internet trying to sell, sell, sell...then it's time to re-think. The Internet has changed and you need to adapt and change with it.

People want real value these days - they want to invest certainly, but they want to be sure they know who they are investing with. There's so much rubbish these days floating about the Internet it's difficult for someone to know who the right person is they want to invest in. YES!! People love FREE content, but a big majority still know that to gain any momentum and move forward in the right direction, they will still need to invest money for any advanced material that will get them there faster.

So be sure when there's people out there looking for the right person to invest with - that you use the power of FREE to deliver exceptionally value to a subscriber.

If you do this right, you won't have to much persuasion to get them to come on-board with you when the time comes around.

2. "Shiny Objects." Are you still chasing them? FORGET IT. They don't exist, no "GET RICH QUICK SCHEME" is going to work for you!

You have to put in the hard work....simply as that! If you're not prepared to do this - then you're not going to get very far. If you are prepared to do this, then the Internet can give you the desired income you wished for, just make sure you understand though that you'll go through a lot of sleepless nights to get there, but once you do, it will get a lot easier. Are you prepared to sacrifice a lot to attain your goal?

3. Stop spending all day checking emails, being on Facebook, Twitter, checking stats, browsing YouTube...if that's you, then you need to make a few changes.

Product creation is the key to being successful online. Turn off all those other distractions and start focusing on creating a product - building a system to sell your product - then drive traffic to your product to make sales. Obviously using the first method mentioned here in tip no1 where you can use the soft sell approach will pay you dividends to get the word out about your product first. This could be in the form of a leaked chapter, maybe offer an entire eBook for free if you have a sizable product to offer, i.e. audio, videos, software and so on.

4. You have to invest in yourself.

I knew this from working in the construction business some while back...that I had to invest in myself to make any headway. I mentioned the word FREE above...and there's nothing wrong with giving away free content to gain a larger audience, where you can get them onto your mailing list.

But here's the problem with FREE!

Some marketers trying to make it as "Internet marketers" want to try and build their business the FREE way! (Basically they want everything for FREE). They ask for all this free advice...sign up to mailing lists, free newsletters, free webinars, free coaching calls, free video sessions and so on, then they'll ask you how to package all their information and services where they can market it to people who have to pay for access...WOW!!

If you won't invest in YOURSELF - how can you expect anyone to invest in YOU.

5. Anything Cheap!

This strongly relates to what we just covered in section 4 - which was the FREE way!

You'll find plenty of websites that will offer you all the cheap traffic you want, all the cheap advice you want, or all the cheap work you need done. But most of the time it's not quality...and if you're not producing quality content each time, then you've already got off on the wrong foot.

Same goes for hiring yourself a MENTOR! “If you pay peanuts - you’ll only get monkeys.” Hiring a cheap mentor usually means they'll monkey you about. I have a fantastic mentor and he's been worth every penny of my investment - I've made it back 10 fold since I first signed up with him - so you decide...is it best to go cheap or dear when finding a mentor?

I'd love to know your own thoughts, so feel free to leave a comment below. You can also use any of the social media sharing options, you'll find them on the left :)

The oldest of admonitions is man know thyself.

If you want to market merchandise successfully - you must know the merchandise. Same is true in marketing personal services, you should know all of your weaknesses in order that you may either bridge them...or eliminate them entirely.

You should know your strength in order to call attention to it when you are selling your services.

You can know yourself - only through accurate analysis.

Author: Napoleon Hill
---------------------

I see more and more people today create online information products...a lot of them being outsourced work. It's great to know that we have the opportunity to outsource our work to move ahead if need be, after all...there's only so many hours in a day; but if one or more of your customers needs support (do you know your merchandise or services well) can you answer this persons needs, or have you a way of bridging the gap so as to answer their questions?

I got asked this question a few days ago and it inspired me to write this blog post! The conversation first started off with the person asking this question - how do I get started online where I can make money in the quickest time possible? I followed up with an answer, which they appreciated, but they also replied with the following question...

Q: Eamon, I don't know enough about a product I am wanting to create, could I not just outsource most of the product and save myself a lot of time and effort? Yes you can certanily outsource your work - but can you bridge that gap in order to answer questions on the % of work you have little or no knowledge about if it's outsourcing you want to use.

Remember your outsourcer isn't going to be around to act as your support. Yes you could outsource support as well, but will they know how to cope with every detail of your product or service, possible not!

Remember you are attaching your name to your product or service, nothing as bad as leaving someone hanging with little or no support.

I always knew deep down that in order to succeed at Internet marketing I had to know how the system worked. There will be questions that come along you need help with...even the most experienced marketers need to be able to bridge that gap when called upon, I guess the best advice I can give you is...learn as much about the topic you wish to create a product or service about so that YOU know the merchandise well. Then and only then when you begin to understand this business of Internet marketing and the system it follows, should you outsource the bulk of your work where it can free up your time for other business ventures.

To your success,

I get asked this a lot, mostly from my subscribers - if you had to do it all over again with the experience you have now, where would you begin?

I remember a time when I would ask these very same questions. Most times it would be out of sheer exhaustion when I'd tried everything and it just seemed to not go my way in the beginning.

Probably the most important of them all was when I found a great mentor who had been there, done that!

Here's my 7 top tips I would do when starting over again online...

1. Create Your Presence Online By Starting A Blog:

Eventually somewhere down the line you'll start to get noticed online with the products you create...and nine times out of ten, people will Google your name. One of the best places for them to find out more about you is a personal blog.

Not only is a blog great for bringing in an income, most online marketers use it to showcase themselves and the products they have created. With a blog you can have all your business details in the one place, your about section can be a great place to give people a behind the scenes look into who you really are as a person...people love to read about you, what you're all about and what you can do for them.

So if you haven't already, do a domain search online for your own name...and if it's there, snap it up before someone else does :)

2. Plan:

So many times people jump into Internet marketing head first. You have to plan the road ahead, think about it, if you were going on holidays you'd plan everything ahead of time. No point in you booking a flight, jumping on a plane and landing at your destination with no accommodation booked.

Same goes for Internet marketing. Once you Identify your market you'll want to create several products around that niche, map out each stage of your product creation along the way so you don't leave anything out. Most people will want to start off with promoting affiliate offers and that's fine...just be sure if you're using your blog to promote these affiliate offers on - they follow your blogs theme.

3. Build A List:

Once you identify which niche you are going to run with, start building a list of subscribers around it. Lots of people put this off, don't be one of them, have an optin form created for every product you create.

Building a list should be the most essential part of what you should be doing after you get set up within the first few days online, so after you begin to feel your way about don't forget to implement this one, because it will be your biggest asset by far when you begin to understand the process of Internet marketing online.

4. Concentrate On Landing Your First Order:

I remember my first order coming through, it may only have been a $27 eBook, but it give me the incentive to push on and sell more. Never quit until you see that first order coming through...and believe me, you'll find a new form of energy to carry on making more sales once you see you first sale come through.

I didn't give up, even though sometimes it was difficult, I pushed on through with that very same eBook to bring in sales of just over $3.477 in a single month. Obviously once I seen the results, I got to creating a lot more products since then. If I could give you any advice it would be to never quit until you see that first sale.

5. Traffic:

Things change online at an alarming rate, but we're now in an era of Social Media sites being in hot demand. We can create all the best content for people online, but if we can't get it out in front of them then what's the point.

Nothing else matters online once you get your product created other than learning how to drive traffic.

Facebook, Pinterest, Google +, Linkedin and many more social media sites are the place to start. There's plenty of more ways to drive traffic, but start here if you haven't already and use these social media platforms as a tool for driving traffic to your websites and blog.

6. Choose A Mentor:

Something I’ve found invaluable to my online business was finding a good mentor. If you're just starting out online, or have even been online for a while and want to push your Internet marketing off to a flying start, finding a good mentor to keep you on track will pay you dividends.

If you decide to run with a mentor, be sure to keep in close contact, email seems to be the favourite with most mentors of staying in touch, but when difficult times approach and you're not getting the answers you want, don't be afraid to get on a call with your mentor and have them explain things clearly to you.

It won't cost you anything to fire up Skype and have a good one on one with your mentor ;)

7. JV's

With all said and done, if you were to ask not only myself, but any well established online marketer how important JV Partners were to their business, they'd tell you to get on it right away and start to build relationships online.

JV Partnerships have been responsible for most of my traffic online at driving people to my products. Clickbank can be a great place to start. You can search out all the affiliates there and contact each one with an offer they can't refuse.

Some won't reply to your email, but others will...and if you leave your product a no brainer where it works in the favour of your affiliate each time, it will be hard for them to say no. Always aim to please your JV Partners first before yourself and the rest will take care of itself.

Have you been online for any length of time, what have you found has helped your business move along in the right direction. You can tell me in the comments below.

If you liked this post, you can share it by using the social icons to the left of you.

All the best,

There's tons of blogs online today, but what are you doing to make yours stand out against the crowd, so your visitors return for more? Here's just four simple (but effective tips) below that can help.

Personality:

It's very important for you to try and differentiate your blog from the hundreds of thousands of other blogs out there. If you're not already, you can start by sprinkling your personality throughout each post to help keep your readers interested.

A winning personality will go a long way with your readers.

Start to build rapport with your reader and offer him or her free downloads, small prizes, ask them questions, enter them into competitions and so on; these will all have their part to play when trying to build rapport. With that said, keep in mind that you will have to have a combination of all these things throughout your blog (and not) just focus on your personality shinning through the whole time.

Keep your Content top notch:

Why do people keep coming back to certain blogs? It's because they loved what they read last time around when you offered them really good and solid content to read.

One thing to also point out to your reader is your rss feed. Try and place this button somewhere visible so as your reader can easily find it and subscribe.

Squeeze the most from your blog:

As much as some people would like to try and have 2, 3, or even more blogs on the go, it can be very hard to keep up, especially if you're only starting out and think it's the right thing to be doing.

Trying to juggle to many blogs will only do you more harm than good. Concentrate on one blog at first (at least to you get it profitable), then you can consider creating another.

Aim to get as much profit out of a single blog, this would mean you'll not have to worry about or depend upon another blog to generate income for your living expenses.

Be Consistent:

Profitable blogging doesn't come overnight.

You'll need to be consistent with hard effort on your part to make a blog which is going to be profitable work.

You'll find days where you'll want to give up, don't though, push past this dip in the road and blog as often as you can. Remember if you push forward and keep telling yourself that the profits will come, they eventually will!

These are only a few tips that will help you, of course there are many more methods to consider when trying to make your blog a success, you'll come across them in due time; but be sure to put into practice the above methods everyday and you'll soon begin to see your blog flourish.

As always, your comments are welcome - let me know your thoughts! You'll also find access on the left to some social media sharing sites, fell free to share it.

All the best - talk to you again soon...

Build Up Some Trust Before You Pitch Any Products.

Build trust and credibility and deliver valuable content before anything else, failing to do this will result in poorer open rates and unsubscribes. Here’s a few tips to go by that will certainly give your email message a better chance of being read.

1. First Impressions last...

It’s an old cliché - but it’s true!! That first email message you send out must come across as a great first impression. From there on in, you should have at least 10-12 follow up messages that go out every day...or every other day, where they will also try to build a relationship with your subscriber.

You can keep following up with more content over time, but those first 10-12 email messages should be sent in such a way where you want to build warm and friendly feelings between you and your new subscriber.

2. Ask them to white list your email...

There are a lot of people out there that are going to be new to online marketing, that’s why you never want to skip this part. Of course the seasoned marketer won’t need to know – but don’t make the mistake of losing the ones that don’t know how to do it.

No matter how good your email provider is, some of your messages will end up in spam filters. The best way to go about getting new subscribers to whitelist your email address is to simply ask them.

Write a simple piece of text in the opening body of your first follow up message that tells your newly added subscriber they should whitelist you in their email client so as to receive your email messages. Some will do it right away and some might not, but having no message at all will cause you to lose a whole lot more of your emails getting through when subscribers haven't got you whitelisted.

Remember...don’t be afraid to ask a person to whitelist your email address, some people may think it’s something that would turn their new subscriber off. If your new subscriber is serious enough about learning from you then you shouldn’t have a problem, for the ones that don’t, they’re not the kind of subscribers you want anyway, you want subscribers that are the real deal – one’s that are willing to learn from you and will be looking forward to your emails coming through. So, don’t forget to ask them to whitelist you.

3. Keep an eye on your spam count, but don’t obsess over it...

Top email autoresponders today will give you a count on what your spam rating is, with AWeber (the autoresponder I use) they suggest any reading above 5 is considered bad where they’ll ask you to try and lower it. Zero is ideal for a spam count, but it’s not always vital to try and keep your count there every time.

Sometimes we like to use words like “click here,” or “cheap offer” and so on, hey why wouldn’t we, we want to try and get a few sales along the way right!! After all, isn’t that why we’re in this business.

Keep a good eye with words that may count as spammy, try though to use as many good catchy words as you can to persuade your visitors to click through to a sales letter.

If you’ve been around Internet marketing long enough then you’ll know that these are the type of words that get better results, so use your email to persuade someone to click through with as little spam attached as possible in the body of your email to avoid being filtered. This is one of the reasons why you should keep your emails as short as you can...and lead the reader off to a sales letter where it should do all the persuading for you.

4. Show Support...

I’ve noticed lately that by adding a support email which is clear to the reader you are there to support them as a real person, will work in your favour. Simply adding a line of text in the closing part of your email message like...if you need support and would like to ask me a question, then use this email, your message will go directly to my personal inbox.

Showing support like this not only keeps your subscriber happy, it also lets you find out what it is your subscriber needs and wants. This is a great way to survey your list and can build up a great list of valuable questions, you could answer these questions in your next blog post (giving you ideas for a new blog post), answer them in an email message itself, or even put together a product for sale where you know these valuable question have a market.

5. Post Script...

I’ve tested quite a few emails and always find that including a P.S. at the end of your emails work. You don’t have to include them in every email broadcast you send out, but if you’re trying to sell a product (knowing that it’s something that will help you list) certainly go ahead and include a P.S. at the end of your email.

That final reminder will work wonders and has been tested over and over by a lot of big top copywriting experts to be one of most successful additions you can add to your emails and sales pages.

"I hope you enjoyed the read and if you did like what you’ve just read, go ahead and share it on Facebook, twitter or any other social media site you are a part of by using the sharing options on the left."

To your success,

5 list building tips for newbies

List building should be an essential part of anyone’s Internet marketing online. Although I'm giving my 5 essential tips that have worked well for me and which I continue to do daily...there are other ways of building ones list, but in most cases having these 5 essential tips set in place will certainly hold true for most list building strategies.

Sign Up To A Professional Autoresponder:

Lots of people try to avoid having to pay monthly for a professional autoresponder, I'd advise against this. If you can't deliver 60% to 70% of your emails once you do get some subscribers on your list, then you've already got off on the wrong foot. The most important aspect of an autoresponder is its deliverability. I use AWeber and do recommend if you haven't started out yet to give them a try. You can start out using AWeber for only $1 for the first month, then if you want to remain with them on a monthly basis you'll pay $19 a month.

After Your Subscriber Confirms Present Them With An Offer:

Most newbies never get around to setting some kind of an offer in place after their subscriber confirms. It's not that they don't want to set something in place, but sometimes when starting out it can be difficult for most newbies to create a product fast...or even find an affiliate offer which would relate well to the free offer they have on the front end. You don't have to be all fancy in the beginning by setting up "One Time Offers" and "Downsells" (that can come later when you've learned the process)...but at least have something set in place (even if it's only an affiliate offer), otherwise you're just leaving money on the table.

Follow Up With Emails:

Statistics show that once you sign up a new subscriber to your list and send out your follow up email the next day...on average, 90% of those new subscribers will open your first email. This is a good sign as it's now your chance to get under the radar with them. Again a lot of newbies I have spoken to never do this. You have to follow up for sure, the more you're subscriber gets to know you in the beginning the better it's going to be for you further down the line. Paint a picture in their mind right from the beginning letting them know who you are and what you're about, it will also let them know that you will be emailing them from time to time.

The best way to go about doing this is to schedule at least 7 follow up emails. Have your emails go out daily and make sure they have something of value in them...make them great and your subscribers will keep reading them and stay subscribed to your list. After you're 7 day follow ups are completed, you'll still want to follow up with your subscribers...maybe not so much on a daily basis, but you will want to follow up with some free content and additional offers.

You might not get as willing a response form them as time goes by, this could be for a number of reasons, but the more you build your list - the better chance you have at making more sales as time goes by...and remember - every new subscriber that signs up through your initial offer everyday will be passed through your 7 day email sequence. This is a time which has been proven to be the hottest where you'll get a higher open rate and hopefully a few sales :)

Driving Traffic:

Now that you have everything set in place (including your squeeze page), it's time to drive some traffic. There are many ways for doing this, take social media for instance, it's hot at the moment and most people these days spend 70% of their online time in places like...Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and so on. If you haven't already, open up an account at each of these social media sites and begin to interact there every day (always with the intention though of driving traffic).

A lot of people do get hung up once they frequent these sites and waste a lot of their time going from post to post. Don't get me wrong, they can be a fantastic and enjoyable place to hang out and have some fun, just be sure to allocate your time when using such sites and be sure to get some work done. Make it your goal to get at least 500 subscribers onto your list, after that things will really begin to take off for you and that brings us to the last step.

Adswaps:

A lot of people like to use adswaps in the beginning to build their list and it's certainly going to be a lot easier for you to have some swap partners do some swaps when you've built up a list of 500 subscribers. Some well established Internet marketers still use adswaps as a means of bringing in new leads daily. You may hear however other Internet marketers saying they won't use them, as all they do is build a list of freebie seekers. Remember we talked about having that OTO in place (even if it's an affiliate offer), then having your 7 day follow up emails in place.

You want to be sure that for every 100 leads you get sent to your offer that at least 30% to 40% sign up to your offer. Once they sign up they are presented with an OTO, if only 2% of these new sign ups take you up on your offer, you now have them on a buyers list.

This is the most important step in the whole process, the people that buy from you can be segmented. You can do this in your autoresponder...i.e. once someone signs up for your free offer but purchases your OTO, they can be automatically taken off that freebie list and put on to your buyers list; that way you can start to filter out your freebie seekers from your buyers list, so if done correctly, adswaps can be a great way of building a targeted list.

I hope I've given you some valuable tips here's. Go ahead (if you haven't already) and put them to use and start building your list today!

As always your comments are welcome, and if you liked what you've just read, feel free to "Like" and "share" it.

All the best with your list building journey.
