3 effective methods on how to earn money with blogging
Plenty of people are today asking how to earn money with blogging, well there are numerous amounts of ways to achieve this and many different angles to look at also, to the way one would go about this. For the most part though we’ll look at the ways you can earn a healthy living by blogging.
Probably the most recognised platform for hosting your blog with is wordpress.org, which is now easily integrated through your hosting provider. This platform has become so advanced nowadays and with all the plug-ins available at hand it just leaves things so easily managed.
So with that out of the way lets look at how to earn money with blogging.
If you like to write and have a keen interest in something i.e., gardening, plumbing, sowing, fishing etc you can simply start to write about these topics you know something about, where you can gave back to the community. These topics of interest that you have a good understanding about are known as a niche. Niches work by you finding the one that you have some passion about and are interested in learning more on, so as to keep updating your blog daily. But note! Just finding a niche that you are passionate about and want to write about is not enough.
You must dig a little deeper to find out what niches are actually being searched for online today, these are the areas that you want to be targeting and build you blog around. If there is plenty of visitors looking in a particular niche then that’s a sure sign that you’ll be able to break into that niche and earn commission. Now it doesn’t have to be a huge niche, but there has to be enough interest so as to build a blog around it.
One sure fire way to find out if the niche is going to be profitable enough to blog about is doing keyword research, remember keyword research is the most important factor to consider when you start to post articles on your blog. You would first use keyword research to search out a niche that’s hot enough to get into. You can also browse Amazons most viewed lists of items and books searched and watch to see what are the topics of choice people are looking to know about and buy online.
Another way is to look at google itself if you do a search on google trends this can also bring up some interesting facts. Clickbank is another place to look through, you can get a positive feedback of information on this site to what is really selling on a daily bases. Clickbank also have a category on the left side where you can browse the various topics and find out what is selling online.
So here are my top tips to start looking at if you are considering starting your own blog.
1. A simple method and which is still used very much today is google adsense. AdSense works very well and can match itself up automatically with your content, google gives you a code which places an ad on your blog, which in return, you drive traffic to your blog and when visitors land on your blog they can see these ads and view them, if they decide to click on that ad to view more details of what’s behind the scenes, then you get a commission for simply having it placed on your site.
The easiest way to explain AdSense is, the ads come from people who use google AdWords, now don’t be getting confused here, AdWords is the bases for which this all started off at. Adwords works when a person creates an ad in google AdWords for a product or service they have to sell, or an affiliate product they are wanting to promote. When this ad is created, Google then give you the option of placing it on your blog for readers to view and if they are interested enough in the ad they click through to see what it can offer, if they like what they see they may make a purchase giving both you and the AdWords creator a profit.
2. The second and most recognised today on how to make money with blogging is affiliate marketing, almost every marketer today is making money from this type of marketing and it the most lucrative of them all when you consider. Affiliate marketing works on the bases that you promote other peoples products and earn a commission, it’s as simple as that. There are plenty of big named companies out there that you can go to to find and promote these products, the likes of clickbank.com, paydotcom.com, Amazon.com, affiliate.com, maxbounty.com and the list goes on.
Through time when you begin to see your earnings rise, take time to consider creating your own products to promote, this is where the real money is made and will be what you should eventually be aiming for in an Internet marketing business; however, it is not necessary for you to go this route. If you prefer to be a blogger that’s fine, you can make plenty of money this way. Some bloggers make thousands each year form simply blogging online. Remember you can approach that angle as we talked about in the beginning of diversifying your role here, where you can take on both tasks blogging and creating your own products, now that’s where the real money is at.
3. The third method that can also work well, is to offer a service to customers online where you could use your blog to capture the attention of visitors by showing them free video courses on what you can do for their business, you can also set aside a free spot somewhere on your blog to let people advertise there blog sites on, this will require that you have built up enough targeted visitors first though, so as the advertiser can gain enough exposure back to his site for their monies worth.
This can work very well for marketers and has been known to go down a treat when you become well established, so remember to save a spot on your blog later down the road when you begin to see them hoards of traffic coming your way
That’s it for now on how to earn money with blogging, hope it cleared up a few things for the beginner, till next time.
