Are you under pressure learning this Search Engine Optimization stuff, here calm yourself down, a good way that will always work is to produce more and more content. Search Engines love new fresh content, people get frustrated and create say 15 pages of content, they then wonder why there material doesn’t show up. You must give it time, The big boy Google will eventually find your content you know. If you keep creating content, say three to four pages a week, this tactic alone will work.
Build and build every day or at least every other day, till you have at least 300 to 350 pages of content wrote up for your website or blog. Ken Envoy of Site Build It learnt me this factor a few years back and he was spot on.
So! below are a few other factors that go hand in hand, when you apply these tactics with more and more content, trust me when i say it, you will get found by the search engines.
I’ve gotten a lot of emails about search engine optimization and yes it is one of those website and blog tactics that has to be right. This one catches thousands of online individuals when creating a website. So! You have to get it correct, please don’t let this search engine optimization madness get you down, when you learn a little on it you’ll have it locked in your head for every keyword, headline, tags and all that other stuff that has to be down in steps, every time you go to create a new post.
Now above i mentioned in steps, that means you have to go to the beginning and start from the first thing, have you guessed it? IT’S RESEARCH. I know a lot of people in the past and even today that make this mistake, they jump right into a subject and start writing about it. This is wrong, now there is the chance that you’ll get lucky, but i doubt it.
The problem lies here, if you choose a topic like golf it’s far to competitive, meaning the competition is far to high for you to rank for. These websites have been around for ages and have taking the first page of google, so there competition could be in the millions. I touched on this in an earlier post, you want to find a niche with a competition of between 30,000 to 40,000 and start writing about that.
Once you do find one to write about, then you have to look for keywords that are related to your niche, everything has to be related to what your writing about. Example if your writing about cooking receipts, you want keywords related to cooking like cooking bowls, cooking books, cooking aprons etc. you don’t want to be running off thyme and switching to writing about fishing, this isn’t related to cooking and shouldn’t be mixed.
Next is your title, take for example this post I’m writing about, “search engine optimization”! it’s in my title.
Next i have it in my actual post again as earlier as i can, in the first line or at least the first paragraph, also if you can link out as soon as you can to another website which is also related to you thyme. Example “take this verse” a good website that would help you along at search engine optimization is —- you would link out of the search engine optimization part.
Google bot is a robot that comes around once and a while and scans throughout your site for newly added content. They want to see this form of step by step process for every page you create. This is why it has to be set out this way, the bot comes along and is fit to determine what the page is about by starting from the top and going down picking up these keywords as it goes
along.
When it asks you for keywords always include first, the keyword you’re writing about, then a few more related keywords, three or four is enough in the one bar, don’t stuff to many in. Also when writing your post don’t include your main keyword to many times, google can see this as keyword stuffing and take a dime view on it.
Remember when looking for keywords, look for the ones with low competition and high demand.
