5 Tips To Build Your Personal Brand With Social Media
Here’s my 5 Tips on Building Your Own Personal Brand With Social Media…
Social media today by definition has become your personal brand online, lets look at Facebook? With a Facebook page, lots of people already have their online personal brand and a destination platform where they can invite others to join, lots of people don’t look at it this way when they publish and promote their content or products to friends and family. But? It is wise to know, that when using these platforms for marketing purposes, you find the proper niches and promote your business to the people that are interested in what you have to offer and not just publish to any old Tom, Dick and Harry.
Your Personal online brands will be most effective when they are focused within a chosen niche. This means, if you want to leverage your personal brand on these social networks, selecting the niche that you want to focus on, is one of the most important first steps that you’d want to think about when you’re starting out on this journey of getting involved with the social networks.
Create your own personal brand in this every growing online world and reach the critical mass?
Being Ubiquitous: Meaning, have yourself existing everywhere, or at least as many places as you can manage when getting involved with the social media networks. Create Multiple Streams of Yourself and get your business noticed.
Fackbook is where most rush off to when they hear the saying social media, they believe this is the place to start where you set up an account and believe their finished. Not True, having your own website or blog should be the first starting point, where you should have your own domain, “preferable your own name” and have it self hosted, EX word-press.
1. Different Social Media Channels:
To really and truly be seen throughout the entire web, you want to also take into consideration the other social media channels. Social media is all about promoting “YOU” Other channels to aim for are, Twitter for your micro blogging communications, YouTube for your videos, slideshare for your presentations, and using flickr for your images, also linkedIn and not forgetting the big social networking media Facebook.
With a good chance of your circumstances shown world wide, people are now going to see your work from a digital prospective.
2. Be friendly in your society:
Be friendly in your society looking after your social systems. Make the most of the various numbers of these media channels that you can be in relation with. Continue to place your products forward, that shows your skills and expertise, so that it shows in a professional way. Include your blog feed and twitter on to your homepage and also add your linkIn using up to three web addresses. With being on Twitter its easy to follow people in your own niche which you can link your Twitter home page to your website or blogs using a tool known as TweetDeck where you will be able to check for each term and various groups.
3. Be Effective:
Be effective in your writings, when making a video, in your photographs and always share your ideas. The majority of people are quite inspiring and will tell others of what they know. Keep records of your experiences through your writings and photographs. Take the every day things that you think about and your media and put these onto the web, so that you can be more like a publisher.
4. Be Unique And Stand Out:
You want to stand out and get yourself noticed, a lot of people don’t like change, but in this game if you want to further yourself you have to look at other alternatives and where not better to look than your social networks. Standing out like a sore thumb will draw the crowds in. So remember this phrase when your about to set up your social media endeavours.
5. Show Your Natural Personality:
First off be yourself, let people know who you are and use your own character. You want the people to find out who you are, so be “yourself”. There are many platforms to choose from that will let you come across in your own unique way, I.E. your own voice. As mentioned above in paragraph 2, where I talked about the different media channels, this is where they come into their own. Example, you may not like writing that much, so instead of using Facebook you may prefer YouTube where you can show your natural personality through video or vice versa.
Hopefully this helps you out, you probably get the jist of it now and know that there are many different ways that you can get yourself across. It’s really about finding the proper social media that works for you.
