Is Video Marketing catching on, I think so!!!
Although videos are being used so often now, there’s still the need for text. A lot of people load up their videos and never get their videos transcribed.
Let me explain!! Although voice recognition is getting better with google where they can now work out better what the person is saying on the video, it’s still a long way off the way google and other search engines get better results from text.
Here are ten ways you can use YouTube to promote your website or blog.
Search engines have really came a long way, their knowledge now at scanning text and knowing what that text is saying is spot on. Search engines are fit to read text and determine what is relevant for the reader. When a person types in a keyword, google now knows what pages are relevant to show up for the term or keyword that was sought after, Yip, the search engines were there scanning your text and other peoples sites to bring back the most appropriate web pages for that keyword.
This is why seo is a relevant factor when you’re writing a page. First the keyword, then putting it in your headline, then placing it within your text body a few times. Search engines pick up on these keywords, but that another issue.
The relevancy of videos now, in googles eyes anyway, are important to their results. Here answer me this! Why do you think google paid 1.8 billion, yip that’s billion for YouTube a few years back, they knew the importance of what this would bring to the Internet, for not only fun, but also the Internet marketer.
If your not using videos yet in your Internet marketing business, well your certainly missing the boat. It’s not even that difficult or expensive to get started. There is also the option of using the likes of jing and other free software that let you capture your screen, where you can show people how to do things, Jing gives you a free 5 minute screen capture video.
As I mentioned above, making videos and loading them up to your website or blog so visitors can watch what your doing over your shoulder is brilliant. Most people like to learn this way, that’s why videos are such a big hit. Saying that though a lot of people like to learn by reading, you would think not, but it’s true, some people just really like to read and they also, learn better this way, the majority though may only be 20%, but remember if you don’t have your video’s transcribed your loosing that 20% of customers.
Accessibility is another key issue here also.
Not every visitor is able to watch video content. Some may have a technical issue – then again not everyone has access to broadband, so we always have to keep these things in mind by offering transcripts. Which meets the needs of a variety of readers.
Remember also, that it will help search engines that come crawling to identify what’s on your video, by getting it transcribed into text. This will help your overall ranking which is great.
If you haven’t the time to get this done you can always outsource this part where someone can do it for a small fee, leaving you free time to catch up with other things more important.
All The Best Eamon.
